Today is Gage’s birthday. It’s hard to believe our ‘Gageypoo’ is turning 4. Gage is always keeping us in stitches with his quick wit. I told this story at Cross Point not long ago:
A few weeks ago Gage came to me and said,”I didn’t want you to call me Gageypoo anymore. I’m too old for that.”
“Well what do you want me to call you, buddy?” I asked.
He replied, “I want you to call me Smoke”.
“Smoke! You can’t go from Gagypoo to Smoke,” I told him.
Gage, there are three good reasons I can’t call you Smoke.
1) You are still scared of monsters in your room.
2) You still wear Bob the Builder underwear.
3) You sit down to pee.
Happy Birthday Gage! I love you, son. You may be the middle child but, you are anything but average. Your smile, hugs, and outgoing personality make everyone around you feel special. Son, you have what it takes and your mother and I want to support you in all of your dreams as you grow. I would do anything in the world for you, however, I’m still not going to call you “Smoke”.
